A former marketing manager, Nadia Bedricky holds a bachelor’s in purchasing and supply chain management from Bowling Green State University (BGSU). While enrolled in the school, Nadia Bedricky was a member of its varsity volleyball team.
The 2017 BGSU women’s volleyball team had a successful regular season with an overall win-loss record of 17-11, including a 13-3 mark in Mid-American Conference (MAC) play, but ultimately came up short in the MAC tournament championship. The Falcons, ranked No. 2 entering the tournament, lost in four sets (19-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21) to the streaking Western Michigan Broncos, the No. 6 seed, in the semifinals. Miami defeated Western Michigan on November 19 to win the MAC championship.
Despite the disappointing result, it was a relatively successful season for BGSU. The team won its first regular season title since 1992 and libero Kallie Seimet recorded 27 digs in the semifinal loss to break the Falcons single-season record in this statistical category. Prior to the tournament, she was voted by MAC coaches as the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and Player of the Year. Additionally, BGSU’s Nicole Slimko and Isabelle Marciniak earned honorable mention selection to the All-MAC team, while Katie Kidwell was named to the All-MAC freshman squad.
